NEW YORK, New York – February 12, 2018 – Everest Re Group, Ltd. (NYSE: RE) announced today that Jeff Mickletz has joined Everest Insurance® as Director and Senior Underwriter within the Excess Casualty division of Everest Specialty Casualty. He will be handling the Southeast territory of the United States.

Commenting on the addition, Debbie Weiser, Head of Excess Casualty, stated, "We are pleased to have Jeff join our team. He brings broad experience in both national accounts and middle market business in the Umbrella and Excess space. The expansion of our team enables us to continue to provide the same thoughtful and responsive underwriting you have come to expect from Everest Insurance®."

Jeff joins Everest from Aspen Insurance, where he was the CUO for Global Excess Casualty. Previously, Jeff worked as SVP, National Accounts Excess Casualty placement broker at Marsh and as an excess casualty underwriter at AIG. Jeff began his career practicing law after graduating from the Dickinson School of Law at Pennsylvania State University, and transitioned into the industry in casualty claims.
