What do you love most about working here?At Everest, everyone is given the opportunity to make meaningful business decisions and drive positive change without being hindered by rank or seniority. What have been some of the most important lessons you've learned throughout your career?
Be kind to one another. Everyone has a backstory and struggles in life. I've also learned never to judge people based on their background, experience, or seniority – often, the most unexpected individuals can contribute the most interesting perspectives and exceptional value.
What's your fondest Everest memory?
My fondest memory to date would be our recent Singapore team offsite. We were able to spend a day away from our daily work to truly learn about our colleagues, what motivates them and even their childhood nicknames! And at the end of the day, we were able to agree as a team on what we needed to propel Everest forward in our region.
How have you grown professionally here?
From being in a supportive role in my previous job to having complete ownership of my portfolio at Everest, I have learned to navigate the complexities of finding the best solution for ourselves, our clients and our brokers. I've also developed the confidence to initiate difficult conversations and how to best represent Everest to the clients we serve.
What's the best advice you can give someone who just started their Everest journey?
Be curious – this is how you’ll learn best at Everest. This company thrives on a culture of continuous learning, and your curiosity will be your greatest asset. Be receptive to learning from your colleagues, but also be prepared to challenge the status quo because we're always interested in doing things better.
