Everest Re is a leading property and casualty reinsurer in Europe offering diverse, tailored products. Our operating company is Everest Re Company Ireland DAC. We have been established in Dublin since 2009.

The continental European business is managed out of Zurich. With branches in Zurich and Brussels, we focus on the production and analysis of all classes of European treaty business and international specialty business as described below. Everest Re Europe is also a partner for solvency protections and other specific reinsurance structures.

We are a team of experienced and knowledgeable reinsurance specialists with deep knowledge of the region. Our main distribution channel is through brokers. Independent of the distribution channel a close contact with our clients is key to our European strategy.

Products

Property

Everest’s property underwriter team leverages a premier market position and strong balance sheet to build a quality portfolio of diversified risks.

Casualty

Everest offers reinsurance solutions for a broad range of casualty products including general liability and products, motor, professional indemnity and E&O, D&O and environmental liability.

Financial Products

Financial products encompass trade credit, surety, mortgage, political risks and structured trade credit. The Zurich based financial products team is underwriting trade credit reinsurance on a worldwide basis. Reinsurance surety, mortgage, political risks and structured trade products is offered to clients outside US/Canada and Latin America. For the latter regions reinsurance solutions are provided by the Everest Re teams in New Jersey and Miami. Our client base is either specialized mono-liners or multi-liner insurers with specialty units.

Marine

The Zurich team is responsible for Everest Re's marine offering within Europe. We provide traditional and bespoke solutions for European based clients for Marine Hull, Cargo and Marine Liability, including Protection & Indemnity business. The team offers underwriting and quotation service for Marine business as part of the overall Marine concept of the Reinsurance group.

Structured Solutions

The Everest Re structured solutions team offers innovative solutions to our clients and brokers to address complex or unique questions. We are interested in working with you on capital relief structures, specific financial risks, legacy issues, risks arising from mergers and acquisitions, and other challenging risks.
