TORONTO, Canada – December 10, 2018 – Everest Re Group announced today that Kevin Pinto has been named Chief Underwriting Officer of Everest Insurance Company of Canada (EvCan). In this role, Kevin will be responsible for overseeing the underwriting strategy for the various EvCan underwriting units, implementing and promoting best practices throughout the organization, as well as developing and refining our product offerings to further enhance the EvCan position in the market. Kevin will be based in Toronto and report to Darin Scanzano, Chief Executive Officer of EvCan.

Kevin most recently held the title of Chief Underwriting Officer for Travelers Canada. Prior to Travelers, he held leadership positions at both Zurich and Gerling Canada General Insurance, and boasts more than 30 years’ of experience in the Canadian insurance market. Kevin holds a Bachelor of Engineering from McGill University and an MBA from the University of Toronto - Rotman School of Management.
