Everest Appoints Jiten Voralia as Senior Vice President and Head of Treaty Casualty & Surety

WARREN, New Jersey – May 9, 2022 – Everest Reinsurance, the reinsurance division of Everest Re Group, Ltd. (NYSE: RE) today announced that Jiten Voralia will join the company as Senior Vice President and Head of Treaty Casualty & Surety effective June 6, 2022. He will report directly to Jill Beggs, Head of North America Reinsurance.

Voralia brings Everest more than two decades of diverse reinsurance experience. In his new role, he will drive the development and execution of the underwriting strategy and lead the strategic direction of Everest’s Treaty Casualty & Surety portfolio. Prior to Everest, Voralia served as Swiss Re’s Head of U.S. Globals Casualty Treaty Underwriting, where he drove bottom line profitability for the division’s underwriting portfolio. He also led the U.S. Casualty operation and was a member of the Global Casualty executive team while he was Joint Interim Head of U.S. Casualty Treaty Underwriting.

Voralia also served in various actuarial and casualty treaty underwriting roles while at Swiss Re including Head of Pricing in Asia, Australia and New Zealand as well as Head of Casualty Treaty Underwriting for Australia, New Zealand and the U.S. Before Swiss Re, Voralia worked as a Reinsurance Pricing Actuary at Aon (previously Benfield) in London and Sydney and as a General Insurance Actuarial Consultant at PwC in London. He has an MSci in Mathematics from the Imperial College of London and is a fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society (FCAS), Institute of Actuaries Australia (FIAA) and Institute & Faculty of Actuaries UK (FIA).

Voralia will succeed Everest Reinsurance veteran Dennis Alba, who previously announced his retirement after a successful 40-year career in the industry.
